Ample time is available on evenings and weekends to enjoy the numerous natural and cultural attractions of the Puglia region. The historic central districts of many towns make for fun walking tours. Along the way, you can visit important churches, flea markets, outdoor cafes, bakeries, and distinctive shops showcasing the work of craftsmen who produce artistic creations using the same techniques as ages ago.

For day trips, many volunteers tour the Adriatic coastline or the Peninsula of Salento, including the baroque cities of Lecce, Otranto, and Santa Maria San Leuca.
